Imagine a phone screen that heals itself after being scratched or cracked. I’ve been looking into the development of self-healing materials using dynamic polymers—specifically, materials with reversible bonds that can reform after being broken. These polymers could be integrated into phone screens, laptops, and other electronic devices to extend their lifespan. The challenge lies in creating a material that not only heals itself but also maintains the strength and durability needed for everyday use. With advances in nanotechnology and material science, I believe we’re on the verge of seeing these materials in consumer products, reducing electronic waste and the need for frequent repairs.
